CPG: Management of Transfusion-dependent Thalassemia

The CPG for Management of Transfusion-dependent Thallasemia is out! These CPG will address not only clinical issues but also look at important public health aspects of screening and counselling at the
primary care level. The burden of thalassaemia to Malaysian healthcare services will become more apparent in future with the improvement in patient care. This paradox is due to the changing landscape of patient demographics with more long term adult survivors requiring even more healthcare attention. These CPG will evolve and its contents will change to reflect the growing body of science to find solutions to this multi-dimensional public health problem. Let's all benefit from the CPG. It can be downloaded at the MOH site (can be found at the tabs above) or from sidebar download at Box.net.
